The Skater’s Companion

About The Skater’s Companion

Skating decisions are spread across sessions, skates, sharpenings, fittings, coaches and specialists. This is a place for the useful context to stay with the skater.

The idea

Give skaters practical tools they can use immediately, a personal record they can build over time, and deliberate control over the people and organisations invited to support them.

The perspective

Information should help a skater describe what they notice and prepare for a better conversation. It should not pretend that software can replace skilled, hands-on assessment.

The reach

The service is being built in the UK, but the underlying needs are not local: clearer equipment records, informed choices and better continuity between the people around a skater.
